Big shot of snow headed to Vail, forecast says

VAIL, Colorado -More than a foot of snow could fall in Vail by Saturday night, the National Weather Service says.Up to four inches of snow is expected Thursday night, with another 1 to 2 inches forecast for Friday. The biggest dump could come Friday night, when the Weather Service forecasts 3 to 5 inches of snow for Vail. Snow should continue Saturday and Sunday, when another few inches could fall. Vail Mountain has reported nearly 2 1/2 feet of snow in the last seven days, bringing its total snow for the season to 176 inches. The average snowfall for an entire ski season on Vail Mountain is 350 inches.
