BizWatch: SayNoMore! Promotions
Vail, CO, Colorado
Business Name: SayNoMore! Promotions
Date Opened: December, 1999. I started the company in San Francisco. My husband and I moved it to the Vail Valley in 2001 as we were seeking a high quality of life in an “affordable” place. Believe it or not, the valley is affordable compared to San Francisco!
Owner: Kris Wittenberg
What goods or services do you provide?
Promotional products and corporate gifts (“swag”). Anything with a logo on it. You can check out our Web site to get a better feel for our capabilities, http://www.SayNoMorePromotions.com.
What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition?
We provide more creative solutions, unmatched client service and more on-time delivery than any of our competitors.
What philosophy do you follow in dealing with your customers? What can your customers expect from you?
We strongly believe that our clients should not spend money on promotional products just to “give something away.” We listen to clients’ needs, budgets and timelines to determine the most appropriate giveaways. We try to make even “ordinary” items like pens, magnets, or mugs “extraordinary” by offering cool and unique designs or items that have special features ” making them much more likely to be kept by the recipient.
Tell us a little about your background, education and experience:
I grew up vacationing in Colorado and always considered it “home.” In college, my parents bought a vacation home in Frisco and although I spent a lot of time skiing at Copper with them the bulk of my skiing and going out with friends was in Vail. I have always loved it here. I grew up in Minneapolis and Manhattan, Kansas then went to college at The University of Kansas in Lawrence. After college, I lived and worked in Kansas City, Denver and San Francisco, where I met my husband.
We stumbled upon Eagle Ranch when I was out here for a business trip and decided this was the perfect place.
I have been in promotions and marketing my entire career, starting out designing and manufacturing overseas the toys that go in kids meals at national restaurant chains. I moved from kids marketing to promotional products by chance in 1999 when I started SayNoMore! Promotions.
What is the most humorous thing that has happened at your business since you opened?
I have tried to think of one specific funny thing, but there are just far too many. There is a lot of laughter in our office, something of which I am very proud. I feel extremely blessed to work with the people I do on both the employee and client sides.
