Blizzard Bizarre tour blows through West Vail

VAIL – The Blizzard Bizzare Tour is bringing bands ASG and Kandi Coded to the Sandbar in West Vail Sunday.
The bands are traveling with the Volcom Snowboard Team, which include Gigi Ruf, Zac Marben, Seth Hout, Jamie Lynn, Bryan Iguchi, Bjorn Leines, Pat Moore, Curtis Ciszek, Scott Stevens and Johnny Lazzareschi.
The tour starts at the weekend’s SIA Tradeshow in Denver and will hit many resorts and events including the X-Games in Aspen and the Olympics in Vancouver, also making stops in Vail and Breckenridge. All the shows are free.
Kandi Coded’s music mixes influences from northwest grunge, classic skate-punk, metal, and loud rock. Guitarist/lead vocalist Jamie Lynn is a Northwest snowboarding legend who also is a a painter and graphic artist. Guitarist/vocalist Jack Endino made his name as a guitarist for Seattle’s Skin Yard, then as a producer of punk, indie and metal albums.
ASG, or Amplification of Self Gratification, are from Wrightsville Beach, N.C., and their latest album, “Win Us Over,” is a mix of psychedelic and Southern rock.
