VAIL — Samana Lounge will be teaming up with Denver-based promotions company Afterhours Anonymous to bring a hot underground electronic act to the high country for closing weekend. The female duo known as Blond:ish will the featured act for the evening.

Originating from Montreal, but currently based in London, DJs Anstascia and Vivie-Ann have established their love child globally by proving that they don’t fit the quintessential stereotype. Fueled by their sharp taste-maker instincts and technical flair, Blond:ish has not only charmed the industry masses but set themselves to release notable labels.

In the last few years, Blond:ish has carved out a unique production recipe which focuses on the art of creating music that is organic and multi-dimensional. Provocative basslines contrasted with smooth textures and sticky vocals blend well into the house music genre.

Blond:ish’s innovative and quirky reputation materialized in the dark trenches of Cherry nightclub in Montreal. Anyone that has attended their parties can attest that there is something very special about this underground midweek mangle. It’s the winning formula of diverse freaks, organized chaos and Blond:ish’s genre defying sets that has them still holding their monthly residency since 2008.

“I am so excited to have one of my favorite acts close the weekend out at Samana,” said talent buyer Ross Cohen. “I have seen these girls play a number of different festivals including Burning Man and most recently at BPM this past January. They play some of the best deep house and tech house out their with their own unique twist with each set they play.”

Starting the night out will be local artist Kirby K teamed up with Afterhours Anonymous artist Bob Taylor.

“This will be one of the best nights of electronic music that Samana has had all winter form start to end,” Cohen said.
