193 E. Gore Creek Dr.

The Space

The intimate dining room grows by a third in summertime with the open patio. Offering uninterrupted views of Gore Creek, the patio is sunny ” and as laid back as the rest of the place.

The Food

Breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu teems with possibilities. From sandwiches to pastas to schnitzel, Chef Rich Kellogg doesn’t limit himself to one particular style. He starts with fresh ingredients and takes it from there.

The Drinks

Martinis are in fashion, and fruit is in season. Put ’em together and it’s summer cocktail time. Owner TJ Armstrong was one of the founders of the Taste of Vail wine-and-food festival. His wine list reflects his penchant for the grape, since he describes wine as “the perfect condiment.”

Gotta Try

Add grilled chicken to the Asian salad and make a meal of it. The sweet sesame dressing is light and delicious. A menu standard is the caprese salad with thick slices of tomato, mozzarella and roasted portobellos, drizzled with a balsamic syrup. The chile rellenos have a healthy kick, and are available all day long.

The service at Blu’s is especially speedy.
