Body found in Colorado river could be motorcyclist
FORT COLLINS, Colorado – The Colorado State Patrol is investigating whether a man’s body found in the Cache la Poudre River is that of a Hawaii motorcyclist missing for more than a week.
The patrol says a passer-by discovered the body Saturday afternoon in the river. The Larimer County Coroner says it has tentatively identified the body as 63-year-old Dennis M. Schultz of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
Trooper David Hall says the body was found about a mile downriver from where witnesses reported seeing a motorcylist crash and go under a guardrail and into the river on July 8.
The patrol says Schultz’s body has been notified and that confirmation of the ID was pending from the coroner.
