Art in Public Places and the Vail Public Library is collecting new and gently used children’s books this holiday season to aid in Colorado Flood Relief. We are working with the Early Childhood Services of Boulder Youth and Family Division to distribute to those in desperate need. A parent spearheading the re-opening of a small Montessori school in Lyons said, “Anything is wonderful. We are starting from scratch.” Drop off boxes are located at the Vail Public Library, the Town of Vail Municipal Building, and the Town of Vail Public Works Administration building.

Essential Soul Therapy is offering its newest class, Plant and Tree Medicine: Working with Essential Oils for Natural Healing, on Monday, Dec. 16, at 6 p.m. in Gypsum.

Lindsey Fernandez will be teaching the practical uses of essential essences to treat a variety of health issues. Students will practice actual applications, learn dosage and safety for topics, including muscle pain, colds and flu, headaches, digestive issues, emotions and more. Bring your questions and an open mind! She believes that in the times we are living in on this planet, it is of vital importance for us to reconnect to the original medicine from Mother Earth.

When working with medicinal-grade essential oils, clients find healing not only in their physical bodies but in there emotions as well. Fernandez will have all of the essences available to experience and for purchase as well. The cost of the class is $35 and she asks that you RSVP by Sunday to hold your space in class at 970-331-3750 or lfernandezvail@gmail.com. Fernandez is the owner of Essential Soul Therapy, where she provides aromatherapy consultations, massage and Reiki.
