Booster seat event is Saturday in Eagle

EAGLE, Colorado – The Booster Seat Blitz is coming to Eagle on Saturday.

The event aims to help parents comply with an expanded child passenger safety law that went into effect on Aug. 1.

The law now requires all children under age 8 to be properly protected in a child restraint when traveling in a motor vehicle. That means children who have outgrown a car seat will have to remain in a booster seat longer.

In addition to expanding the use of booster seats, the revised law gives parents more flexibility in choosing the best safety seat for their child or baby, as long as they adhere to the upper weight and height limits set by the seat’s manufacturer. Details about the law are available at http://www.CarseatsColorado.com.

The event is noon to 3 p.m. at the Eagle Swimming Pool, 1700 Bull Pasture Road.
