Boulder-based original bluegrass band Ragged Union will play the Vail Ale House in West Vail on Saturday, Feb. 4. With a love of the traditional elements of the bluegrass sound â duet and trio singing, highly skilled performance and a robust rhythmic drive â and a craving for doing something just a little bit different with the lyrics and arrangements, Ragged Union has carved out its own space in the crowded Colorado field, expanding the reach of its sound to the national stage. The bandâs sound is built around the Unionsâ original songs, with a blues influence and a connection to the Texas songwriting tradition. The show starts at 10 p.m., and thereâs no cover.
