Boulder residents warned about break-ins
BOULDER, Colorado – Boulder police are warning residents about a series of home burglaries reported over the past few weeks.
Authorities say residents should report suspicious people, cars and activity in their neighborhoods.
A number of burglaries have been reported between 5 and 11:30 p.m. since December.
Boulder police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley said officers aren’t saying how many houses have been affected, and they’re not releasing specific times or addresses for the crimes.
Burglars have broken in by kicking in or prying open doors or just walking in an entry left unlocked.
Huntley said houses on corner lots or that can be easily accessed through the backyard have been regular targets. She said jewelry and flat screen TVs are the most often taken.
