Boulder school finds marijuna in returned mail
BOULDER, Colorado ” Boulder police are investigating a piece of mail returned to a private alternative high school, after officials found four ounces of marijuana inside.
Authorities say the sender listed the address of September High School in the return address area. The package was delivered there after the sender failed to affix enough postage.
Police say the name shown with the return address did not match any school employees or students.
The school principal opened the package for clues as to who might have sent it, and found the pot instead.
Police say they’ve identified a suspect who has no connection to the school, but the suspect’s name has not been released.
The package was addressed to someone out of state.
Principal Dan Fox says the incident was unaffiliated with the school.
