Boy, 17, arrested in deadly Colo. Springs shooting
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado ” A 17-year-old boy is in custody in Colorado Springs in connection with a shooting that left one man dead.
Police arrested the teenager Tuesday, just a day after the city’s 14th homicide of the year.
Authorities say the victim, 22-year-old Matthew Webb of Colorado Springs, was found in the driver’s seat of a car on Monday. The Honda crashed near a convenience store about a half-mile from where officers say Webb was probably shot in the Copper Chase Apartments complex.
The 2004 graduate of Rampart High School in Colorado Springs was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy revealed Webb died from a single gunshot wound.
Police have not released any information about the suspect in Webb’s death.
