Boy’s violin stolen from Riverwalk Theatre in Edwards; police seek help to reunite him with his $1,500 instrument
A young man left his violin and case near the entrance of a movie theater Friday night in Edwards, and by the time the movie ended a couple hours later, the instrument was gone. Now the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating the stolen violin.
According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, the instrument is a 4/4 (full size) 2015 Lenhardt German violin. The serial number is RVLLC0307 and can be read on the E-string side, visible through the f-hole. The case is black and rectangular with a blue, velvet-like interior. The instrument and case are valued at about $1,500.
Anyone with information about the violin is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 970-328-8500.
