Bravo! awards music scholarships to Eagle County kids
Vail CO, Colorado
VAIL, Colorado ” Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival has awarded scholarships to eight musically talented students allowing them to continue their instrumental and vocal studies over the summer. The scholarships are made possible through the efforts of the festival’s volunteer guild and award up to $400 per student to be used for camp tuition.
Students were required to fill out an application and audition in front of a panel of judges.
“I thought all the participants were worthy candidates for some assistance,” said Marion Lauglin, guild member and scholarship judge. “Their enthusiasm and professionalism should be commended. We are proud to support their efforts.”
Several of the recipients will attend the Suzuki Camp in Beaver Creek. Other camps include Tony Guilizia’s Jazz camp at the University of Okoboji, Baylor University Piano Camp and Rocky Mountain Summer Music Camp.
The scholarship amount varies for each student and is based on the cost of camp tuition, the individual’s instrumental ability and financial need.
The Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival is committed to providing students with the opportunity to develop and excel in their discipline of music and allowing them to strive towards a professional career in music. Visit http://www.vaillmusicfestival.org.
