Bravo! hosts Bach on the Rocks mixer in Avon on Wednesday

VAIL – The Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival hosts a wine tasting event from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at vin48 Restaurant in Avon for members of Bach on the Rocks and individuals who are interested in joining the group.

Bach on the Rocks, presented by West Vail Liquor Mart, is Bravo’s social pass. Membership benefits include a season lawn pass to all 18 orchestral concerts at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, seven pre-concert mixers that include complimentary wine and appetizers, $10 off bottles of wine at the Amphitheater, discounts at West Vail Liquor Mart, a free ticket to Big Music For Little Bands and complimentary seat upgrades based on availability.

The wine tasting includes complimentary appetizers from Vin48 Restaurant and wine from Republic National Distributing Company. The event is free for current Bach on the Rocks members and $20 for guests. Individuals who sign up for a pass at the event do not have to pay the guest fee.

The early-bird price of $175 has been extended through Wednesday’s event. The price will increase to $209 on Thursday. The value of a pass is $600. Passes can be purchased at Vin48 Restaurant at http://www.vailmusicfestival.org/grasspass or at 877-812-5700.

This summer’s social calendar for Bach on the Rocks includes pre-concert receptions at Terra Bistro June 29, Master’s Gallery July 8, La Tour Restaurant July 13 and the Fitz at Manor Vail July 28. An end-of-season party will be in August. Bravo orchestral concerts run June 29-July 29 and include the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, The Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic

Bach on the Rocks’ makes the arts accessible to a younger demographic, provides networking opportunities at area restaurants and galleries and creates an interest in the arts both on a local and national scale, according to group organizers.
