Bravo to Kelly Davis!
I have worked in Vail for 16 years. But I vote in Oregon at my permanent address. This last election a measure was on the ballot to allow 18-year-olds to serve in the state House and Senate instead of the current apprentice ruling. Of course, it was voted down by a majority stating that an 18-year-old doesn’t have sense of experience for such a posting.
I voted for it, feeling that if we can send an 18-year-old to be blown to pieces in a senseless war, then they have a right to speak out about why they are being blown away! Could our young citizens be any more inept or inexperienced than what we have in Washington?
Kelly, you are the hope of the future. I take you seriously.
