VAIL — Come together with other classical music enthusiasts and learn more about volunteering for the upcoming Bravo! Vail season. The Bravo! Vail Guild hosts its annual membership drive on Monday at 5:30 p.m at the Vail Public Library.

The Vail Public Library is located at 292 West Meadow Drive Road in Vail. Parking is available in the Lionshead parking structure, and a light dinner will be provided.

The membership drive gives people an opportunity to join the volunteer guild and learn more about Bravo! Vail programing. Returning members can renew their memberships, and new members can join the guild. Anyone interested in learning more about joining the guild is encouraged to attend.

The organization has been supporting Bravo! Vail since its inception in 1987. With around 100 members, the Bravo! Vail Guild helps usher at concerts, raises money for music education programs and provides information for concert-goers. Last summer, the Bravo! Vail Guild donated more than 2,000 volunteer hours.

Frank Strauss, a member of the Bravo! Vail Guild and coordinator for the membership party, encourages anyone who is passionate about classical music to consider joining.

A portion of proceeds from the guild supports Bravo! Vail’s Education and Community Engagement programs.

Bravo! Vail’s education and community engagement programs are a year-round effort to integrate the arts into the community and to enhance school music programs.

The programs — including the free concert series, instrument petting zoos, pre-concert talks, Little Listeners @ the Library, after-school piano programs and Music on the Move — reach nearly 20,000 people annually.
