Bravo’s annual Snowshoe Resolution Run
Vail CO, Colorado
The Bravo! Music Festival Guild will hold its 13th annual Snowshoe Resolution Run on Saturday at theVail Nordic Center at the Vail Golf Course. This is the oldest snowshoe race in the Valley. All proceeds benefit the Bravo! Music Education Fund.
Over the years, the Bravo! Music Education Fund has offered programs such as the Live at the Library, the Instrument Bank, the Instrument Petting Zoo and free family concerts.
“The Snowshoe event is the biggest fundraiser for the Bravo! Guild. The volunteer group’s fundraising efforts directly benefit area children through the purchase of instruments and music supplies,” said Liz Campbell, Bravo’s director of education.
This year, schools from Gypsum to Leadville received over $7,000 of music supplies, including keyboards, bongo drums, recorders, guitars, and brass instruments.
“These tools are necessary to provide a quality learning experience,” Campbell said.
Registration for the event will begin at 8:30 a.m. The 5K/1K race will begin at 10 a.m. The fee is $25 for adults and $5 for children. Everyone is welcome, including serious racers, children and walkers. Whirled Peas will be providing chili and hot chocolate after the race. There will be prizes, ribbons and a raffle for all who attend.
Bravo! brings another spectacular season of music featuring the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, The Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic with the magnificent Rocky Mountains as a backdrop, June 27 through Aug. 2, 2008.
