Beaver Creek, CO Colorado
BEAVER CREEK, Colorado –Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival’s Chamber Music Series kicks off Tuesday night with a festive evening of musical favorites from popular movies as Bravo presents Reel Music – Chamber Music Goes to the Movies.
The 8 p.m. concert takes place at the Vilar Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $27 and can be purchased at 877-812-5700 or http://www.vailmusicfestival.org.
Concert attendees can expect to hear musical selections from “Atonement,” “City of Angels,” “The Notebook” and “Platoon.”
“This is unique programming,” said Lynne Mazza, Bravo’s associate artistic director. “For some it will conjure up movie memories; for everyone it should give pleasure.”
Mazza also said that Tuesday night is a good concert to introduce someone to chamber music. Members of the Rossetti String Quartet, Bravo’s Artistic Director Eugenia Zukerman, the Jacques Thibaud String Trio, and Orion Weiss, among others, will perform Tuesday night.
Bravo’s Chamber Music Series continues through Aug. 4 with performances at the Vail Mountain School, Minturn and Gypsum. Complimentary Chamber Music will be performed at various venues throughout the Eagle Valley as well. These free performances, Casual Classics, are part of Bravo’s Music Matter’s Program.
“Chamber Music started as the heart of the Bravo Festival and continues to remain so today,” Mazza said.
