Breathflow workshop is in Edwards on Saturday
Edwards CO, Colorado
EDWARDS, Colorado ” Dogma Athletica in Edwards will offer a Breathflow “Introduction to Transformational Breathing” workshop on Saturday. The workshop is a three-hour experiential introduction to the healing modality of conscious breathing, and specifically the technique of Transformational Breathing, as started by Dr. Judith Kravitz more than 30 years ago.
The class, which will be led by Certified Transformational Breath Facilitator Christian Minson, will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
“I have heard from students such overwhelming stories of success in working with Christian that we were overjoyed to bring him here,” said Amy Baker of Dogma Athletica.
Participants will learn the benefits of conscious breathing, as well as how to perform the technique and what to expect in a session. They are then given the opportunity of a full hour-long group breath session, guided by a certified facilitator.
The workshop ends with the group forming a circle to share profound experiences and to learn how they can continue to integrate this new healing modality into their lives. Supporting materials of books, CD’s, and other items are available to continue to deep the experience at home.
The class will be taught by Minson. For 10 years Minson served as a monastic in one of the branches of the ancient Swami Order. He dedicated himself to the study and practice of meditation techniques that focused on the breath and its affect on human consciousness and divine potential.
Minson’s passion in Transformational Breathing comes from his own profound experiences with the technique during a time of exceptional difficulty in his life. He has studied more than 500 hours directly under Dr. Judith Kravitz, co-developer of the technique, and founder of the Transformational Breath Foundation.
The benefits of the Transformational Breath technique cross multiple dimensions of the human experience: physical, emotional, and spiritual. Participants learn how to breathe in a relaxed, circular, flowing pattern, utilizing their full respiratory system, often for the first time in their lives. Reports of more energy and greater sense of relaxation are common.
On an emotional level, one can expect to be able to let go and process old wounds and traumas in a manner that is safe, gentle and profoundly effective all at the same time. Through the conscious awareness of the breath, participants also come to a greater attunement with their spiritual nature, which can manifest as heightened intuition or a tangible sense of connectedness with their higher self and all life, among other experiences.
