Daily Staff Report

BRECKENRIDGE With great conditions after early season snowstorms and around the clock work by snowmaking and grooming crews, Breckenridge Ski Resort will open terrain on Peak 10, the back bowls and Breckenridges famous Imperial Express this Wednesday, Nov. 22. Just in time for Thanksgiving, Breckenridge Ski Resort skiers and riders will be able to enjoy more than 900 acres on Brecks Peak 8, Peak 9, and Peak 10, accessed by 16 lifts and 60 trails. The snowfall has allowed the resort to take a different approach to the terrain we are offering this Thanksgiving, said Rick Sramek, vice-president of mountain operations for Breckenridge Ski Resort. With the opening of some of our best expert terrain, Breckenridge is offering a complete product for every level of skier or rider. The new terrain features expert skiing and riding, including Brecks famed above-timberline skiing on Peak 8 and gladed tree-skiing off of Chair 6 and on Peak 10. Guests can access this terrain on several major lifts including the Falcon SuperChair on Peak 10, Snowflake, Chair 6 via the Peak 8 SuperConnect from Peak 9 and the Imperial Express. For beginner and intermediate skiers and riders, Peak 9 offers more than 520 acres of trails accessed by the Quicksilver, Beaver Run and the Mercury. The resort also has opened it first halfpipe on Eldorado in addition to the Country Boy Terrain Park. For the Thanksgiving weekend, guests will be able to find all the skier services at the Village at Breckenridge and Beaver Run base areas. This includes lift ticket sales, equipment rentals, restaurants and the Breckenridge Ski & Ride School. Hungry skiers and riders also will be able to find lunch at Ten Mile Station, located at the top of the Quicksilver lift on Peak 9. There will be limited service at Peak 8s Vista Haus including a coffee bar and restrooms # # #For information on Breckenridge including snow reports and more, visit: http://www.breckenridge.com or call (970) 453-5000.Vail Daily, Vail Colorado CO
