Bridge seminar and tournament coming to Vail
July 8, 2010
VAIL, Colorado – Bridge author Barbara Seagram will conduct four days of seminars and tournaments July 13 – 16 at the Vail Mountain School. Prices vary based on participation and all proceeds will benefit the Vail Valley Foundation’s Vail International Dance Festival.
Pam Elsner and Dee Androus, both seasoned bridge players and residents of Beaver Creek, are responsible for putting on the seminars which will cover several bridge-related topics designed to help players develop a well-rounded game.
The seminars are expected to be quite popular, as the Vail Valley has developed a thriving bridge playing community that participates in weekly games at the Miller Ranch Community Center. Dozens of players show up each week.
In addition to daily seminars, there will also be tournaments every afternoon from 1-4 p.m. Event organizers recommend the event for intermediate to advanced players, as the seminars and the tournament field are designed for those with at least a moderate amount of experience.
Additionally, all proceeds from this event will benefit the Vail International Dance Festival.
The Vail International Dance Festival is presented by the Vail Valley Foundation and takes place July 27 through Aug. 10. Twelve performances are slated to take place at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail in addition to free events being held in Vail Village and Beaver Creek. For more information, visit http://www.vaildance.org.
