Bringing the world together
COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Festival of World Theatre will bring together emerging and established artists from around the world. The festival will feature seven shows with 33 performances on five stages in Colorado Springs and Woodland Park. It begins Thursday with shows opening on July 20 and running through the closing ceremonies at the Mountain Celebration on July 30. Performances will offer something for all ages and interests of theatre goers: children, young adults, families, classic theatre lovers, popular and jazz music enthusiasts. Talking Heads with Lynn Redgrave and Brian Murray; Toxic Audio, an award winning a cappella group; Frogz, a theatrical menagerie of wonder, whimsy and wackiness; Black Comedy by Peter Shaffer; Emergence-SEE! with Daniel Beaty; and Shakespeare’s Villains with Steven Berkoff highlight this year’s season.
