Brother of Colo. bin Laden hunter waiting for next step

DENVER – The brother of a construction worker who went to Pakistan on a mission to kill Osama bin Laden says he hasn’t talked to his brother yet and doesn’t know whether he’ll be released.

The brother of Gary Brooks Faulkner tells The Associated Press that he has not yet heard from his brother but that he talked to the State Department on Wednesday.

Scott Faulkner said government officials have no update on his brother but that Scott Faulkner has no reason to believe Gary Faulkner is in danger. Pakistani officials said Wednesday the vigilante was examined by a doctor after his family warned he has kidney problems and needs dialysis.

It’s still unclear how long Pakistan plans to detain Gary Faulkner. He was found Sunday in a forest near the Afghan border.
