Brushfire in Singletree

Special to the Daily/Don CohenA small brushfire in Singletree was accidentally started by two juveniles playing with fireworks Sunday afternoon, police said. The fire, which was less than 1 acre in size, started below Singletree Road and Bronco Road at about 2 p.m., said Deputy Russ Papke of the Eagle County Sheriff's Office. The Eagle River Fire Protection District responded to the call and the fire was put out by 3:15 p.m., Papke said.
