Building bridges toward peace through discussion

“Why is there hate and war in our world?””How does faith eliminate such tendencies in the human self?”Religious luminaries from multiple faiths will seek to answer some of the most pressing questions of our time in an interfaith meeting called Gathering of Unity. On Friday at 6:30 p.m., the public is invited to the Holiday Inn in West Vail to learn how we can join together within the self, the community and the world.Guest speakers include Mohammad Noorzai, president of the Colorado Muslim Society; Reverend Don Bissett, of Unity of the Mountains; Sankarshan Das Adhikari, of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness; and Lama Dawa Zangpo, of the Carbondale Buddhist Society. Guests are expected to explore how each faith represents the spectrum of love and hope within the world, and the public is encouraged to bring questions.Gathering of Unity is sponsored by Soul Cafe Productions.
