Bummed about Vail’s delayed opening? Maybe this will help. Or make it hurt more.
Vail Daily staff report
We’re all disappointed (although perhaps not surprised) by Vail Mountain’s delayed opening. We could mope around for the next nine days, or we could pull ourselves up by the bootstraps and trudge on to Thanksgiving. Let’s go with the latter. After all, it just takes a couple of good storms to get a ski mountain back on track, right? And besides, anyone who’s lived in a resort town knows that Mother Nature is a fickle creature. One week she’s dragging her heels on moving on from fall, the next she’s full-on Ullr.So while we wait for her to get with the program, here’s a glorious powder-day memory from Dec. 15, 2015, courtesy of Vail Daily’s John LaConte.
Breckenridge Ski Resort announced Wednesday morning it will remain open for two weekends of spring skiing and riding beyond the resort’s previously-scheduled closing day of this Monday, Memorial Day, May 27.
