I treat my work as an art form, paying attention to detail. I do not mass produce or manufacture.
What philosophy do you follow in dealing with your customers?
I am willing to take a client’s design and make it exactly as they want or I can work with a general idea until the design meets the client’s specific needs. Clients can expect an exceptional finished product because of my attention to the detail, quality and pride that I take in my work.
Tell us a little about your background, education and experience.
I started my art education in high school with classes ranging from drawing to jewerly and metalsmithing, hands-on industrial art courses, woodworking and welding. Throughout college I pursued art and architecture courses. After college, I became a member of Rocky Mountain Smiths, studied with Francis Whitaker and other great blacksmiths and attended certificate courses at John Campbell Folk school and Lincoln Electric Welding school. I have held professional positions in the metal arts for more than years ranging from jewelry making at Karats in Vail to metal fabrication with Vail Manufacturing.
