Bus stop robbery suspect at large

Suspect in Aug. 14 mugging at Avon Center bus stop, police say.

AVON ” Police are looking for a man who allegedly punched and kicked a woman in the back of the head and stole her purse at the Avon Center bus stop Aug. 14.

The woman told police a Bulgarian passport and a cell phone were in the white cotton purse that has a blue flower pattern.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, about six feet tall and 210 pounds, and his head was shaved, police said.

He had no facial hair and no visible scars, tattoos or body piercings. The suspect may have been wearing a long, light colored shirt, black pants and a ball cap.

The suspect spoke English and had a lisp, police said.

With the suspect was another Hispanic man, described as being about 5 feet 6 inches tall, skinny and wearing a black T-shirt, light pants and light shoes.

Remain anonymous and earn up to $1,000 by calling 970-328-7007 or 1-800-972-TIPS with information leading to the arrest or indictment of the suspects involved in the alleged beating and robbery.
