Buses to run from Avon to Silverthorne outlets

AVON, Colorado – The town of Avon recently entered into an agreement with Coach America Denver to park a mini-bus at the Town’s Swift Gulch facility as a convenient location to store a bus for daily trips to Summit County. Under contract with the Silverthorne Outlet Mall Association, Coach America Denver will be offering a shuttle service from Avon to the outlets.

The new daily bus route offers connections to and from the Outlets at Silverthorne from Falcon Point Resort and from the old transit stop in Avon, across from the Slifer, Smith and Frampton building.

The shuttle will depart from Falcon Point Resort, 340 Benchmark Road, at 9:35 a.m. Monday through Saturday, returning by 4:20 p.m.; on Sunday, the departure from Falcon Point will be at 9:35 a.m. returning to Avon by 3:20 p.m.-

Departures from the old transit stop in Avon will be at 9:30 a.m., returning at 4:25 p.m. Monday through Saturday and on Sunday will depart at 9:30 a.m. with a return at 4:25 p.m. The travel time is approximately one hour and 20 minutes each way.

Round trip rates are $15 per person with children under 10 riding for free through Nov. 21.

The Coach America Denver shuttle will also stop at the Vail Cascade and Spa, Vail Transportation Center, and will make two stops at Copper Mountain.
