Bush economy bad for U.S.
Today’s financial news included the fact that “Americans enjoyed a higher average income in 2006 for the first time since the year 2000.” I thought that was pretty good news until I went on reading. The article went on to say that “Total personal income increased by $619.2 billion, all of which went to those making more than $75,000 and 42 percent of it went to those who made more than $1 million.”
So much for the George Bush economy, and you can expect more of the same if John McCain should become president. Their economic and tax policies are identical. Help the rich get richer and tell the middle class that it will “trickle down.” Nevermind that 2006 was the sixth consecutive year that it didn’t.
