In June 2006, Onie Bolduc purchased Bolduc Realty and Management from his father, Rick Bolduc, who founded the business in 1983. Onie recently changed the company’s name to BOLD Real Estate Solutions.

BOLD Real Estate Solutions recently invested in new technology to offer services to its clients no other company in the valley can. This technology includes a Web-based management software designed to offer all property owners an individual “sign-in” to view governing documents, financial statements and pertinent information about homeowner associations and similar organizations from anywhere in the world. The BOLD site also offers a search engine that allows prospective tenants to view available properties online while saving investors money on advertising.

BOLD Real Estate Solutions manages 720 properties in the valley including private home care, commercial and residential association management and long-term rental management.

The Denver law firm of Otten Johnson Robinson Neff + Ragonetti PC is opening a new office in the Vail Valley to serve its Eagle County-based clients.

Otten Johnson employs 49 lawyers who specialize in topics including bankruptcy and insolvency, business transactions and tax and real estate and real estate finance.

In recent years, the firm has extended its litigation practice into Colorado’s mountain communities and has fought some high-profile cases in the mountains, the most notable of which is the recent $50 million verdict in the Telluride valley floor condemnation case.

“This decision to open a Vail Valley office was driven by our growing list of mountain-based clients who will benefit from our presence in the Vail area,” said Tom Ragonetti, director and one of Otten Johnson’s founders. “While we regard ourselves as the premier land-use and real estate firm in the state, we are also becoming very well known as litigators in the mountains as well as in the fields of business transactions and eminent domain.”

Aaron Hill and John Mosesso will work out of the Vail Valley office.

The Avon office of Otten Johnson is located in Suite 260 of Traer Creek Plaza.

Former Vail-area resident Ross Palmer was recently named the new chief executive of Snow Sports New Zealand. Palmer moved to New Zealand a few years ago.

Reservations to purchase Revelstoke Mountain Resort’s last 105 Nelsen Lodge condos have begun. The resort’s first town homes will open for reservations in early February.

About 10,000 prospective buyers from the U.S., Canada and overseas already have registered with Sotheby’s International Realty Canada, and the first two Nelsen Lodge buildings sold out in just three hours a year ago.

“This is a great time to buy in,” said Marilyn Hennessy, vice president of marketing and sales for Revelstoke Mountain Resort. “Average house prices in Revelstoke increased almost 50 percent from 2006 to 2007 ” and that was before the mountain opened.”

Revelstoke Mountain Resort ” called “North America’s new big one” by Powder magazine ” has a $16 million eight-person gondola and high-speed quad chairlifts, plus 27 new trails. Once a $6 million extension of the gondola is completed later this year, Revelstoke will boast North America’s longest lift-serviced vertical descent at 5,620 feet.

The $1 billion resort is expected to be completed over 15 years and ultimately include more than 5,000 new housing units, as well as more than 500,000 square feet of commercial and retail space and a signature golf course.
