Business Briefs: Bar leagues are starting at Altitude Club in Vail

VAIL, Colorado – The Altitude Billiards & Sports Club, We Have Fun LLC and Coors Light recently announced the local bar will host a co-ed “Winter Bar League.” Registration is open at http://www.wehavefunnow.com and closes Monday. The league runs Mondays from Nov. 28 through Jan. 23 at Altitude in the Evergreen Lodge.The new league features familiar games with a few new twists. Games include beer pong, flip cup, life-size Jenga, darts and more. The cost is $190 per team with a minimum of six people per team. Teams are required to have four players on hand every week. Participants can also register as “free agents.” Game organizers will place those free agents on teams. Fees include a six-week season, plus playoffs; a free pitcher for the team; free Coors for league play games; and championship T-shirts for the winning team.To learn more, go to http://www.wehavefunnow.com.

VAIL, Colorado – Forbes Travel Guide, formerly Mobil Travel Guide, on Tuesday unveiled its 54th annual listing of Five-Star and Four-Star hospitality establishments worldwide and named Four Seasons Resort Vail and The Spa at Four Seasons as part of the list. Four Seasons Resort Vail will be showcased with all of the 2012 award winners on Startle.com, the new interactive website of Forbes Travel Guide.The Spa at Four Seasons was singled out to receive the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Spa award. The Spa at Four Seasons is one of only 30 spas to make the list and one of only two in Colorado. “It is a tremendous honor for our resort to receive this accolade from Forbes Travel Guide, having been open for less than one year,” said General Manager Hans Willimann.In addition to this latest Forbes accolade, The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Vail also was named to the Conde Nast Traveler “Hot List” of World’s Best Spas; the “It List” by Travel + Leisure; and was a finalist in the Virtuoso Life “Best of the Best” Spas category.

MINTURN, Colorado – Nicky’s Quickie Restaurant is opening its second location, in Denver, said owner Stephen Porter.The new restaurant is at 10890 E. Dartmouth Place near Parker Road and JFK Golf Course. They plan to offer the full menu that is featured at the Minturn location on or before Dec. 15. The Denver location is also offering delivery and catering.
