VAIL VALLEY, Colorado – Longtime Vail Valley resident, Byron Hoyle, died in his home on June 8. He was born in Sudbury, Mass. on Nov. 5, 1950.

Byron came to Vail in 1972, and worked for eight years as a ski patrolman. He was a gifted carpenter, kayaker and passionate fly-fisherman.

He is survived by his sons, Matthew and Benjamin; granddaughter Autumn; and two sisters, Andrea and Alison.

There will be an informal gathering for Byron’s family and friends on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Brush Creek Pavilion in Eagle. Please bring a dish.
