California wine with Colorado food
BEAVER CREEK – Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa has partnered with Silver Oak Winery for a five-course wine pairing dinner Saturday. Part of Park Hyatt’s signature Masters of Food & Wine Series, which encourages properties throughout the collection to create quarterly events focused on seasonal, locally-inspired cuisine, 8100 Mountainside Bar and Grill Executive Chef Christian Apetz, will create a special five-course tasting menu with mountain cuisine paired with Silver Oak’s varietals. Each wine is hand-selected by Silver Oak proprietors, the Duncan family. As co-host of this special evening, Kevin Duncan, will walk guests through each course, sharing the background, flavor and nuances of each wine while discussing why each was selected to accompany a particular dish.The Silver Oak Wine Paring Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday.
