RANCHO DEL RIO — Campout for the Cause, a three-day roots music and lifestyle festival, will be held over Memorial Day weekend, May 22-24, at Rancho Del Rio. The riverside venue is just 40 minutes from Vail and is an ideal spot for the outdoor event featuring live music, camping, yoga of all styles, stand-up paddleboarding and lifestyle workshops for individuals, friends and families.
Music headliners will include Campout favorites Fruition and Elephant Revival, as well as the renowned singer-songwriter Gregory Alan Isakov, who will strike a chord with what is sure to be a memorable festival debut. Also jamming on stage will be Bonfire, HoneyHoney, Birds Of Chicago, Ramona, The Sweet Lillies and the darlings of Avon’s 2015 WinterWonderGrass Festival, Dustbowl Revival.
For 2015, Campout for the Cause is proud to offer additional yoga classes on the schedule, which will be led by local yoga instructors, as well as Gina Caputo, the Boulder-based teacher and nationally known “Yogini On The Loose.” Special guest Heath Perry will hold lifestyle workshops throughout the weekend, and the performance art featuring Fractal Tribe should not be missed. A communal cooking area with a fire for roasting food will be available for all to use.
“We are expanding our workshops and our yoga offerings, and we are so excited to be bringing in great guest teachers like Gina,” said Scotty Stoughton, founder of Campout for the Cause and owner of Bonfire Entertainment. “Campout is all about going back to our roots. It’s a gathering that’s really anchored by authentic artists who create from the heart.”
A very limited number of three-day event passes are available for $129. Tickets include three days of music, camping, yoga, stand-up paddle clinics, workshops and a commemorative stainless steel festival mug. Capacity is very limited and we do not anticipate tickets will be available at the door. For an extra $10 you can purchase an early arrival ticket allowing you to enter the site at 4 p.m. on May 21 and enjoy a campout jam by the Campout Family band with members of Bonfire, Gipsy Moon and more. A family camping area will be dedicated as well.
One hundred percent of the net proceeds will benefit the festival’s nonprofit partners, American Rivers, The Eagle Valley Land Trust and All Hands Volunteers. This year, Campout for the Cause is proud to partner with American Rivers, a nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to protecting and restoring America’s rivers.
Campout has stated a mission to “Walk The Talk” — a platform founded in the commitment to inspire lifestyle awareness and event sustainability, along with the intention to foster a community of responsible and respectful festival participants. The festival is dedicated to staying a zero-waste event with low environmental impact.
Free water will be available on site to fill reusable containers. Limited RV passes will be available. For the first time, there will be no single-day tickets or tickets available at the door. For more information and to purchase advance tickets, visit http://www.campout forthecause.org.
