Candidate profiles for Eagle’s April 5 election
Eagle Mayor
Name: Anne McKibbin.
Occupation: Archaeologist.
What made you decide to run for Eagle Town Board Mayor? I have spent eight years on the Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission and four years on the Eagle Town Board and wish to continue for another term. I feel confident I can do a good job as mayor and help carry on our town’s progress.
What is the most critical issue facing Eagle in the next four years? Construction of the Lower Basin Water Treatment Plant is on the horizon. Planning for this critical piece of infrastructure has been ongoing, but we will probably be reaching “go” time in the next several years.

Eagle has been through a tumultuous year. What is your priority as you take office to bring more stability to town government? I want to be part of a town board that can regroup and get us back to being able to focus 100 percent on town business, without avoidable distractions. This includes being a facilitator and moderator for the board, and being an effective liaison with the new town manager.
This year’s municipal election features a sales tax ballot question to fund the Eagle River Park. What is your opinion about this project? I support the Eagle River Corridor Plan of which the Eagle River Park is a key part. This enables the town to set the stage for other parts of the corridor plan and provides a wonderful amenity for Eagle and for our visitors.
Additional Comments: I am excited to continue to serve on the Eagle Town Board, this time in a new role as mayor. We’ll have a great team, and will continue to focus on the things that make Eagle great. Thank you, and please vote!
