Can’t leave Eagle County housing to the free market

Stupidity is defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results each time. Locally, private industry has not handled our worker shortage-affordable housing crisis and we should not continue hoping that they will.

We have the worst worker shortage-affordable housing crisis I have seen in the 36 years I have lived here. Local experience shows that Debbie Buckley and Dick Gustafson are wrong in believing that private industry will handle the crisis without interference.

Two county commissioner candidates, Jon Stavney (former mayor of Eagle) and incumbent Peter Runyon, have shown a willingness to pursue a course of action that will improve our worker shortage-affordable housing problem and our community will be better off if we election them to office.
