Car surfer in critical condition

COLORADO SPRINGS ” A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized in critical condition after falling from the hood of a moving car, police said.

Authorities said another 17-year-old boy was driving the car in circles around the Citadel Mall parking lot early Sunday when the teen who was on the hood ” engaging in what’s known as “car surfing” ” fell and struck his head on the pavement.

The victim’s name and updated condition were not available Monday.

Police said the investigation was continuing and charges were pending.
