VAIL, Colorado Kirsten Ginnity, TV8s co-host, and Ian Cropp, sports reporter at the Vail Daily, are one of the couples nominated for the 2008 CarniVail king and queen contest. Other nominees are: Torrey Tobin, a brokers associate with Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate, and Shawn Carney, Vails terrain parks/event supervisor; Christine Cutter, the 2007 Malay Day womens champ and a sales associate at the Vail Daily, and Kip Tingle, KZYR The Zephyrs charismatic account executive. Vail Daily: How long have you lived in Vail?Kirsten Ginnity: Collectively three years, feels like 30!VD: Whats the first thing that comes to mind when you hear Mardi Gras?KG: Bloody Marys and crawfish.VD: If named royalty, will fame change you?KG: I will perfect the Queens wave while holding a hurricane.VD: Have you ever been to the real New Orleans event? If so, whats the craziest thing you did? KG: No.VD: Whats your favorite cajun food/drink? KG: Gumbo ya-ya.

Vail Daily: How long have you lived in Vail?IC: Legally, two years, five months. VD: Whats the first thing that comes to mind when you hear Mardi Gras?IC: Foie Gras and how delicious, I mean, terrible it is.VD: If named royalty, will fame change you? IC: Well, only in a few ways. First, Id carry a ceptor with me at all times. Second, Id knight the Boston Red Sox. Third, Id reassure people that I am, in fact, not better than them. VD: Have you ever been to the real New Orleans event? If so, whats the craziest thing you did? IC: Not yet. VD: Whats your favorite cajun food/drink? IC: Brains a la Zombie.
