Cat stranded atop power pole for 3 days is on the ground

Moses the Maine coon cat, stranded on a 30-foot power pole in Centennial since Saturday, was rescued from its perch by Xcel Energy workers about 12:20 p.m.
Neighborhood residents had spent three days trying to figure out how to lure the dehydrated and hungry cat down from its perch.
They and animal services personnel in Centennial were fearful it might fall.
However, two Xcel workers turned off the power line and one climbed the pole bring Moses down, said Shannon Merrill, a bank branch manager in whose backyard the cat had been stranded.
She said both Xcel crewmen got hugs and handshakes from grateful neighbors.
