Chophouse hosts Mardi Gras party

BEAVER CREEK – Beaver Creek’s Chophouse hosts chef Vincent Sciarrotta of Mr. B’s Restaurant in New Orleans, as he prepares special New Orleans’ inspired menus starting Friday through Tuesday.There will be free crawfish boil Saturday from 3-6 p.m. until the crawfish last out on the deck at the base of Beaver Creek. Drink specials, including the Mardi Gras favorite – hurricanes – beads and all of the necessary Mardi Gras schwagg will also be featured at the party.Parmesan-crusted snapper, served with a buttery “Crystal” hot sauce and crawfish tails ($26); barbecue shrimp ($24); free form srawfish ravioli ($24) and homemade chocolate bourbon pecan pie made with Jack Daniels, served warm with vanilla bean ice cream are some of the dinner choices. For lunch, chef Sciarrotta will be serving up fried shrimp “Po’ Boy” sandwich, served with a tomato tartar sauce and fries ($11.95); classic gumbo made with chicken and andouille sausage served over rice (cup $7/bowl $10) and crawfish etouffee served over rice ($15).
