Choreographer to teach dance class in Vail Valley

EDWARDS – Choreographer Sergio Mejia will teach a musical theater master dance class at Battle Mountain High School on July 15. The two-hour intensive workshops take place at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., and are open to performers of all abilities. The class, each of which is limited to 30 students, costs $40 and net profits will benefit the nonprofit Action for Children.

Mejia worked with a wide variety of entertainers, including country singer Leann Rimes. He also has worked with Disney, Nickelodeon, CBS, MTV, VH-1, NCAA, Clear Channel and Celebrity Cruises. He is developing projects for DreamWorks and Universal Studios, Japan.

The producers of this event, Slippery Slope Productions LLC, have been a singing telegram/children’s entertainment company in the valley for the last five years, and have appeared at the annual Free Family Fun Fairs.
