Chronic escapee missing again from a Colorado minimum security prison
A man serving sentences for two prior escapes is on the run again, state prison officials say.
Sean Hanneman didn’t show up for inmate counts at the Colorado Correctional Center in Golden.
Prison officials called local police and sheriff’s offices at 12:45 a.m. to notify them that Hanneman escaped, according to a news release by Mark Fairbairn, spokesman for the Colorado Department of Corrections.
Hanneman is serving time for forgery convictions out of Douglas County and two escape convictions out of Arapahoe County, Fairbairn said.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Office of the Inspector General and local law enforcement, he said.
