AVON — The inaugural Cielito Lindo Music & Heritage Festival celebrates Latin and Hispanic music and heritage at the Avon Performance Pavilion today and Saturday featuring energetic, live performances from international, multi-award and Grammy Award winners.

The festival is a combination of world-class artists covering a wide range of genres from banda to norteno, salsa, cumbia, bachata, merengue and Latin pop and is an important space for traditional music brought directly from indigenous regions of Mexico. Festivalgoers will also have access to family-friendly activities, exquisite food and the spectacular views of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

Doors open at 2:30 p.m. each day, with the festival ending at 10 p.m. Single-day, general-admission tickets are $65, and two-day, general-admission tickets are $119. Single-day Platinum VIP tickets are $139, or get two-day VIP tickets for $220. VIP includes complimentary refreshments and appetizers from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. each day. Children younger than 12 are free, and the event supports Vail Valley nonprofit organizations.

Parking is available at the Avon Recreation Center, Skier Building, US Bank Avon (after 6 p.m. Friday and after noon Saturday) and FirstBank Avon (after 5 p.m. Friday and after noon Saturday), with additional street parking, where available, on Lake Street, W.
