Cinco de Mayo event is Sunday in Eagle

EAGLE, Colorado ” The second annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration comes back to Eagle this Sunday for a traditional fiesta and a chance to celebrate the Hispanic culture.

La Nueva Mix, a Hispanic radio station, is hosting the event from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. at the Eagle River Center in Eagle.

This year, there will be six different incredible traditional Mexican bands playing everything form salsa, meringue, and mariachi throughout the entire event. There will also be over 12 different food vendors selling homemade specialties throughout the day. In addition, over 25 booths will be filled with different businesses from in and around the community, showcasing their companies to the public.



A kids area will be set up including over seven bouncy castles, a huge horse and pony ride corral and a mechanical bull.

This year, half of the proceeds will be going to the New American School for Latino Students and the other half will be going to Berry Creek Middle School to support the cost of painting their gymnasium.

The cost is $3 at the door for adults and $1 at the door for children and the cost for children’s activities will also be $1 per child. The Eagle River Center is located at the Eagle Fairgrounds in Eagle.
