VAIL Salsa was the theme and the night was sizzling at the Vail Mountain Marriott Resort and Spa as Bravo! music festival supporters celebrated the opening night of the New York Philharmonic.

The committee, headed by Argie and Oscar Tang (who wasnt there due to a biking tumble earlier that day) along with Howard and Cathy Stone, had guests shakin to the Latin sounds of La Candela and several Latin dance instructors.Along with a grandiose silent auction, only one item was auctioned off live the opportunity to conduct the New York Philharmonic at Gerald Ford Amphitheater next summer. It is only the second time the conductors job has been auctioned off, and Adam Aron, the former chief executive of Vail Resorts, decided to come back again next summer to show us how he wields a baton. Next year, perhaps dueling conductors when the Philadelphia Symphony arrives?
