Clue’s in the name
Vail, CO, Colorado
Monday, Gov. Bill Ritter signed the new bike bill. This new law is only half there.
They made the wise decision to not let cyclists ride two abreast in any situation. Thank God. They should never be aloud to ride two abreast. What’s missing, then, you ask? Bike paths.
Eagle County has spent millions building bike paths, and cyclists won’t use them.
There should be wording that says cyclists can be fined for impeding traffic if there is a bike path on that route. I often see cyclists in my way on the road, and the bike path is five feet from the road.
There is a reason they call them bike paths.

Are we seeing more bears because there are more bears on the valley floor, or because we’re all spending more time at home? It could be a bit of both.
