Coat drive is under way

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – The Vail Valley Salvation Army and the Eagle County Law Enforcement Immigrant Advisory Committee are sponsoring a Fall Coat Drive. Through Oct. 15, coats will be collected at the following locations:

• Vail Police Department, 75 South Frontage Road, Vail.

• Vail Fire Department Station 3, 2399 North Frontage Road West, Vail.



• Red Cliff Municipal Building, 400 Pine St., Red Cliff.

• Minturn Municipal Building, 302 Pine St., Minturn.

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

• Eagle County Sheriff’s Office Substation, 450 Miller Ranch Road, Edwards.

• Gypsum Recreation Center, 0052 Lundgren Blvd., Gypsum.

The community is encouraged to donate clean coats in good condition. The group is especially hoping to collect children’s winter jackets and snow pants. Coats will be distributed through Vail Valley Salvation Army. Collection boxes for the coat drive have been donated by Vail Honeywagon.
