Colo. governor has ‘routine medical procedure’
DENVER, Colorado ” Gov. Bill Ritter has undergone a “routine medical procedure,” but his office is releasing few details.
Ritter spokeswoman Megan Castle calls it a “wellness or precautionary measure.” She says it happened Friday and was completed by midmorning.
Castle says Ritter told his staff he was doing fine after it was over. She says he didn’t relinquish his duties as governor.
The procedure was not disclosed in advance.
Ritter has no public events scheduled for Friday but plans to speak Saturday to the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association awards dinner.
